It can now and then feel like life is flying by and you’re not removing time from your day to archive the amount you like individuals around you. That is not an issue for the Brown sisters.
Picture taker Nicholas Nixon, the spouse to Bebe Brown, snapped a picture of his significant other and her three sisters Heather, Mimi, and Laurie, in 1975. Rather than simply halting there, the sisters and Nixon chose to transform the family photograph into an undertaking and get together consistently for a very long time to take a similar photograph. I’m happy they did in light of the fact that these lovely photographs really show how family is for eternity.
1975, The Sisters Begin Their Journey
Nixon and the Browns got going their photograph venture in 1975—the year Jaws deeply inspired American film crowds. A topic in Nixon’s undertaking that stays reliable is that he offers no inscription for the photograph other than the date and area.

1976
The following year, the sister once again took a very similar photograph. What prompted the setup in a field is unknown unfortunately, however nonetheless it is simply breathtaking.
And even just a mere year later, but the style of all of the sister’s already began to change into a more grown-up one. Throughout their development it is seen that the sisters dress very similarly.
1977
This picture was taken Harvard, Massachusetts at Harvard University. It is unclear how many of the four sisters attended the ivy league university, however even if just one studied there it is very impressive for the family.
The year this photograph was taken was during a time that the majority of the students were male, making it even more impressive. Either way, they all hold very serious faces and appear to be scholarly women. Unless they had a fight amongst themselves before the shooting.
1978
The rich go to Harwich Port, Massachusetts for summer vacation. The sisters appear to be very comfortable in their summer attire while enjoying their time at the beach resort.
It can be assumed that they come from a wealthy family due to their vacation spot, which hosted many famous people of the 1970s.
1979
The later part of the 70s are upon the sisters. For the fifth year in a row, the photograph had been taken, and the tradition stuck. There is a clear change in the sisters from the first time they photographed in 1975.
They started their adventure as young ladies and now are appearing to be full-grown women. Their progressive development throughout the years is mind blowing
1980
The sisters came together for their yearly photograph of 1980 in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. This area is also known as a very high-class place to be seen, which further backs up the belief that they came from a well-to-do family.
Since the sisters are wearing short sleeved shirts it can be assumed that it is summertime once again. This picture also depicts that have developed a stronger bond between themselves.
1981

This is the first picture that goes against the summer theory. They went for a winter themed picture in their 1982 sisterly photograph. It actually is a rather refreshing change and was cute of them to mix things up.
Other than the picture not being taken during the summer, the blonde sister became a brunette, which further matches the winter theme. And their style continuously becomes a more trendy version of how they started out in 1975.
1983
In 1983, the sisters came back to their summer photoshoot theme. They should have started a band since their photo appears to be like like cover of CD. The middle sister appear as having Joan Jett vibes within her style.
Each sister has her unique style, one with short one, another with blonde hair, but when it comes to apparel they are rather similar.
1984
The photo of 1984 was taken at the same spot as 1981, the first time it was taken in the winter. However, this time it was taken during the summer without their sweaters and frozen looks.
One thing that is unique about this year’s photo is the appearance of Nicholas Nixon’s shadow. Perhaps this was an artistic move on his part, to add an aspect to the photo, or perhaps it was a mistake.
1985
This photo marks their tenth year anniversary of the first photo of the sister series. Ten years later, the girls have become real women, stylish and confident. The only difference within the photographs is within where they were taken, and a few things here and there.
The sisters themselves remain stunning. These photos should encourage anyone worrying about aging, as they really proving that aging does not, in fact, happen so fast.
1986
Color film was already a thing in 1986, but this series remained black and white. It keeps the series unified and furthermore makes the photographs more meaningful and serious.
